[Arknights] SilverAsh, Dr. Hana, and Falls

The tweet mentioned what happened in chapter 6 (and now that it's been released to EN, we all know) when the road below them collapsed and Doctor fell into a very deep pit.

It's not secret that, because Dr. Hana is a flower mantis, she can fly. And so she can cheat her way out by flying out of the pit if she wants to (although everyone still panics because it's so sudden). In reality, female flower mantis (at least orchid mantis, which Dr. Hana is based on) can't fly at all because they're too big, but in this universe...or should I say, my headcanon, in my Arknights universe where Arthropod ancients exist, they can fly with the help of Arts, with a time limit and a drawback.

Quick background: Back in Victoria, Hana likes to climb trees to sleep there because it's breezy (and to sneak into his brother's room in the dorms). When she falls, it's a calculated move as she falls right on Enciodas (mostly his back) numerous times. She crushes him so many times already that Enciodas eventually develops muscle memory to catch her on instinct before she can crush his back.

And so, SilverAsh is used to catch her falling...from above. When the road collapses and Dr. Hana falls, his brain registers that he needs to catch her, so he stretches out his hands to the direction of her voice like he always does - the movement is imprinted on his body...to no avail, obviously, because Dr. Hana is falling to a pit. He had to catch and pull her to stop her from falling, not letting her fall into his arms and carries her in a bridal carry. When he realizes that, however, it's all too late.

Realizing that he screws up real bad, he almost mindlessly dives into the pit, if only Blaze doesn't stop him.

In the scenario that manages to fall down, though, he crushes Dr. Hana when he falls down, being bad at landing like a stupid cat he is.

In the case that the pit is small, they have no other choice but to press against each other in the very small space and slowly dies from the heat. SilverAsh is big, wears thick coat, and his tail takes up so much space...poor Dr. Hana is suffocating real bad (not to mention she has long as heck hair). She's itching to cut that long, thick, and fluffy tail of his to get it out of way.

This can be quite a romantic situation (locked up in a small space together, being so close to each other), if only it isn't a dirty pit...and it isn't with Dr. Hana, too busy feeling like she's dying. Besides, as an experienced couple who has done so many things together already (including innocently hugging each other on bed), having to press against each other isn't enough to faze them.

SilverAsh is, admittedly, a bit flustered because he acted like an idiot in front of everyone (so uncharacteristic of him! So rare!), but that's different from getting embarrassed from sexual tension. That said, he does feel happy to be so close to Dr. Hana (as they haven't been able to spend time together lately), but he knows very well the situation isn't good to be flirty. When the most flirtatious person in the room (Dr. Hana) isn't making any advances, it's obvious that it isn't the right time and place.
