Characters/Pairings: Vigil/Doctor, Demetri (very small cameo)

Summary: Title says it all.

Notes: Started on 2023-06-14 and it kept growing. Lmao. Might get expanded even more.

Vigil and Dr. Hana visit Siracusa for some reason I haven't thought of (work? vacation? Who knows). Before they go, Vigil surprises her by giving her Siracusan-style clothes (by the way, he got her measurements from Aosta). Most likely not a suit, something formal with a skirt (or maybe a dress?). Dr. Hana wants to wear a suit too but she's happy with the gift. She praised him for having good taste, which he's very proud of.

At Siracusa, Vigil shows Dr. Hana around, especially his favorite restaurant. Dr. Hana laments that she can't act all lovey-dovey with him in public (unlike in Rhodes Island, where even if they don't show it, everyone knows anyway - it's a public secret), just to be extra safe. Vigil is embarrassed but he's happy to hear that - truthfully speaking, he's also sad he can't even hold her hand.

It'd be great if at one point on the streets, they realize they're being followed. After turning to an alley, they get attacked and Vigil protects Dr. Hana, a hand embracing her waist while the other shoots a gun. She can defend herself well enough (these knives and poison aren't just for show), but she lets Vigil be and cheers him from behind. It's as if she has no sense of danger. But well, these thugs are clearly nothing against Vigil.

Dr. Hana: "If things come to the worst, I'll run away. Don't worry, I'm good at running and hiding! That's how I run away from my responsibilities!" 👍

Vigil: "That's not something you should be proud of..."

At one point, I want them to meet Demetri, who scrutinizes Dr. Hana. Not liking his gaze, Vigil hides her behind him in a protective gesture. Dr. Hana whistles noticing the sparks - she's clearly intrigued and enjoying the situation.

(Insert details of how their meeting go here. I haven't thought of it lol.)

After Demetri leaves...

Vigil, noticing Dr. Hana gazing at where Demetri was, and a terrifying realization dawned on him: "...Are you interested in him?"

Dr. Hana, sweating: "Um...would you hate it if I say yes...?"

Vigil: "...So you are interested in him, then. Do you simply want to take on the challenge of conquering him, or...?"

Dr. Hana: "I'm genuinely interested. We don't have to be lovers, I just want to know him better."

Vigil: "Even though he's that kind of man?"

Dr. Hana: "That's precisely why. I like playing with fire sometimes, you know? But I won't try if you don't want me to. I'll try to reject him if he makes moves on me. Though if he does make advances, I'm sure it's because he wants to test me."

Vigil: "...I'm worried about your safety, so I'd rather you not do it. But I think...above all, I'm jealous. I don't want to see you with him. Just thinking about it makes my blood boil. I can accept you with anyone but him."

Dr. Hana, a bit surprised: "You've become so honest lately. I'm happy."

Vigil, face red in embarrassment: "Shut up..."

(Note: You can think of Dr. Hana's interest in Demetri as simply wanting to mess around with him or even become lovers with him or whatever else. It's up to you.)

Later on, they go to Dr. Hana's room in the manor.

Dr. Hana: "Hm? Why are you just standing there? Do you want to help me unpack my things?"

Vigil: "You can't expect me to let go of you so easily after you said you're interested in another man."

Dr. Hana: "Hm...?"

Vigil: "You said it before, right? That you're mine for the duration of this vacation."

Dr. Hana: "Ahh. Right."

It was quite unlike her - she never likes being treated as someone's possession. Everyone knows this, so they walk on eggshells every time they express their jealousy, saying it with other words instead (though it's not like she'll get terribly angry if they say the words). But there are special occasions where she'll allow it. Like now.

Vigil, kissing the palm of her hand: "Then I'll show you what it means to be mine."

Dr. Hana sweats in both surprise and excitement. "Jealousy is such a scary thing," she thinks.

And so, may they have sex. Amen. So it all comes down to sex again...as expected from me, one horny bear!

I think it's obvious that I see Vigil as someone who is easily, excessively jealous. Why? I just think it's cute. Lmao. I did do some research and apparently, wolves are mostly monogamous, so that can be a reason, but that's just a justification. I have more thoughts about this topic, but perhaps for another post and time...
